Rebuilt from the ground up in 2015, the 15.5 GT brought a narrower beam, a refined V-shaped hull, and a full suite of second-generation outfitting improvements to what was already a well-regarded expedition kayak. The result is a boat that tracks confidently, edges predictably, and rewards paddlers who want to develop their skills without being punished for the occasional imperfect stroke. It suits medium to large paddlers in the 170 to 250 lb range particularly well, and handles everything from calm lakes to more demanding coastal conditions with composure.

Storage is a genuine strength here. Between the large bow and stern hatches with Press-Lock covers and the centre day hatch for on-water snacks and essentials, you have 261.4 litres of dry storage to work with. The rear deck is intentionally low just aft of the cockpit to support lay-back rolls, then rises to reclaim stern volume. The Contour Seat System slides a full 4 inches fore and aft for trim adjustment, and the under-deck skeg line keeps things tidy and snag-free when loading gear.
